Formerly the County Records Office, HALS is the specialist centre for local and family history for the whole county, based at County Hall in Hertford.
Formerly the Bedfordshire Record Office, Bedfordshire Archives was the first county record office in England.
Cambridgeshire Archives and Local Studies Service is dedicated to preserving and actively promoting the use of original historical records of Cambridgeshire, including the former counties of Huntingdonshire and the Isle of Ely.
Part of the District Council’s Museums Service, NHDC Archaeological Service is the principal repository for the archives of archaeological discoveries in the district, maintains the paper records of investigations and has an extensive library of books and journals.
Part of the District Council’s Planning Services, NHDC Conservation Section provides specialist advice on listed buildings, conservation area issues and with historic building repair grants.
The Learning Platform of Hitchin Boys’ School was launched in January 2007 and is being trialled by Year 10 students and their parents. Some areas are totally public and others that require a login: only staff, Year 10 students and their parents are currently able to log in.
