Appeal for information

Hitchin Historical Society is researching Hitchin Arcade and as part of that research, we are interested in the small, but interesting, Market that flourished in West Alley in the 1980s, on the plot next to the old barn. There were various stalls – millitaria, vintage toys, and so on – but we have not been able to track down any photographs of the Market.

Can you help? Do you have pictures? Perhaps you were a stall holder; if so, when, and what did you trade in?

Any help would be greatly appreciated and may well be included, with full acknowledgements, in a book about the Arcade to be published later in the year.
