The Hitchin Journal is published twice a year. It contains articles on Hitchin’s history as well as members’ reminiscences, research, photographs and appeals for information. It also covers the impact of current events on the town’s heritage. It is an informal medium of communication and information between members.
The Newsletter complements the Journal. It too is published twice a year, timed to appear between the two Journals. It typically contains information about events affecting the town and its history, news updates, news about forthcoming events and publications.
Books, booklets, DVDs and CD-ROMs : Since its inception, the society has had an active publications programme. We produce high-quality publications on the history of the town, its buildings and people. Samples of some of these publications are available to borrow at the indoor meetings.
